The upcoming fifth season of iZombie will be the last for the amazing show. I really enjoyed what I've seen (and I need to catch up) but at least I know they know it's going to end and can write it up with that goal in mind.
Loosely adapted from the Vertigo comic of the same name, by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, iZombie centers on Olivia “Liv” Moore (Rose McIver), an over-achieving medical resident whose life was upended when she was transformed into a zombie while attending a party.
She learns she has to eat the fuckin' brains or else she becomes a crazy ass zombie in the traditional sense of the word. So instead of killing peeps and eating their brains (like we've seen in Santa Clarita Diet), she takes a job at the morgue (brilliant!), and eats the brains of corpses. But whenever she eats the brain of a dead person, she temporarily inherits some of their traits and skills, and experiences flashbacks from their lives (Kinda like the X-man Rogue's ability when she touches someone) — These flashbacks often include clues to the dead person's murder.
I really hope the end the series well and give it a nice clean ending that satisfies the viewers and has clean continuity as well as tie up loose ends. Nothing worse than a weak ass series ending (Dexter, Battlestar Galactica are good examples.)
