BRIGHT - Sequel moving forward!

[WARNING SOME SPOILERS OF ORIGINAL MOVIE]
So when Netflix originally announced Bright back in the day, I was pretty damn excited and when it dropped, I binge-watched the hell out of it.  I absolutely LOVED it!  And just so we're all on the same page here as far as how I felt about it, here's the score:
8.5 out of 10
The show takes place in LA where magic is real, elves, orcs and other mythical creatures exist and one of the most powerful items in existence are wands.
When a wand shows up during an investigation, all hell breaks loose. I mean seriously fucked up shit starts happening and that's what I loved about it.  It was hardcore and in my humble opinion realistic as fuck.  Would a bunch of cops turn dirty for a chance at getting their hands on a wand?!  Ummm yeah.  I've seen dirty cops up close and personal and some decent cops as well that if the chance presented itself would probably rationalize the shit outta of doing dirt... "Imagine the good we could do with this!", etc.  So when push comes to shove and Will Smith has to make a decision which affects the entire flow of the movie he does it with conviction.

Will Smith and Joel Edgarton did an excellent job as the odd pairing.  With Smith being the seasoned cop who has the first ever orc-cop as his partner.  There's bad blood between them but Smith understands the repercussions of doing what everyone wants him to do.  A nice solid nod to racism and the blue brotherhood.

The action was relentless, the story was pretty solid.  And to be honest the writer and director of this should be proud as hell.

They announced pretty quickly that a sequel was in the works in which I was stoked.
And then there was nothing for a while.  Yesterday they gave us more information.
Netflix has recruited Evan Spiliotopoulos to write the new script for Bright 2.  Both Will Smith and Joel Edgarton will reprise their roles.

The original screen writer was replaced due to 'creative differences'.

There's no information yet on release date, but I'm excited and will keep you all in the loop.

In the meantime, I have found a couple of Bright Clips from Netflix to hold us down...

Clip #1 is audition tape for the sequel...  You can watch it by clicking HERE
Clip #2 is a review by orcs of the first show...  You can watch it by clicking HERE
