Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell (Fun as Hell)

There are some spoilers in this review so if you don't want em, STOP READING!!!

In Tremors: A cold Day in Hell, Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and his son Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) find themselves up to their ears in Graboids and Ass-Blasters when they head to Canada to investigate a series of deadly giant-worm attacks. Arriving at a remote research facility in the arctic tundra, Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is sidelined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is to create an antidote from fresh venom — but to do that, someone will have to figure out how to milk a Graboid...

This is the 6th film of the Tremors series which became available for people to watch May 1st 2018.  As a Direct-to-video monster flick I am very pleased with it.  I found myself laughing here and there, but most of the jokes fell flat.  The one's that landed though, landed well and pretty much saved the movie.  It's cheesy and silly, but that's the kind of franchise the Tremors films have been known for and this one doesn't disappoint.  It's out on DVD and Blu-ray as well as NETFLIX.

Michael Gross is having a blast as Burt and Jamie Kennedy gives a luke-warm performance and seems like he's in it for a paycheck but does have a few moments where he shows up and gives some good lines.

I did love the continuity between films especially with the Heckler & Koch HK91 which his ex-wife had taken from him and somehow his son was able to retrieve...

Also we find out that Valerie McKee (Jamie-Lee Money) is daughter of Valentine McKee (Kevin Bacon) and Rhonda LeBeck (Finn Carter)

Which was some VERY cool throwback to the 1990's original Tremors.

This movie was much better because of details like that.  I really enjoyed the movie and if you liked the series so far this will keep you until they make #7, #8, etc... :)
