OK, I watched the trailer and it looks decent enough but I have to aske the question again... "Why the fuck do we need yet another remake?" I am really REALLY tired of the same stuff being rehashed over and over again. It's like Hollywood is not willing to go the route of discovering new content but instead says "Well this movie did well in the 80s or 90s... let's just redo it."
Pet Sematary is based on a novel which was released in 1983 by Stephen King and in 1989 the movie came out (with a very good soundtrack I might add) and was done well. In 1992 a sequel Pet Sematary Two was released.
They've been working on this remake since 2010... 9 years in the making. So somebody really wanted this to happen.
